Program Management is the systematic oversight of the means and methods used to create one or more complex, multi-phased, or large projects. The practice is applied to a capital improvement program (CIP) of one or more projects from inception, organization-wide strategic planning, and continues throughout the program, including design and other consultant selection, construction procurement, construction and post-construction to completion. The Program Management team defines and articulates the vision and goals, and ties program goals to project outcomes through CIP validation and prioritization. Program Management can provide additional benefits such as standardization, leveraged purchasing and economies of scale.
